So or the like could be the motto of the new eMagazine Afghan Hound World. If you like, you could detect this motto in the new logo of the magazine.
The last revision of the website has been done more than 3 years ago. Quite a long time in the age of the internet. Although I still like the Afghan Hound .net website, I felt that it was time to change some things from the bottom. These disloyal thoughts finally ended up with a complete remake of the website from the scratch. Apart from a more stylish magazine design, I was looking at ways to publish more information on less space and reduce scrolling significantly. Well, time will show if it works. In this connection all photos on Afghan Hound World will be published as thumbnails. To view them in the original size, please click on the respective photo. There is another point I will not miss to mention in this context. Some of the new features on Afghan Hound World as PhotoFlow or the news navigation window on the right are based on java scripts. They will not function properly with java scripting being deactivated in your browser. If you have problems with the new website related to this functions please let me know.
As a result of the basically remake some rubrics (e.g. Rating) will not be supported in the future. The Gallery became a new concept. And, please accept my apologies, there will no longer be a separate German Version of the magazine. I hope to compensate this loss with the implemented translator. Although I am aware of the usability lacks of those translation programs it can maybe help visitors from other nationalities not speaking the English language to understand what is going on on Afghan Hound World. Finally, some of you might have already seen the new button at the top bar of Afghan Hound World, I have decided to offer you from now on the opportunity to advertise your dogs in a professional way on Afghan Hound World. Nevertheless Afghan Hound World will not break with the tradition of free advertising. All news, e.g. breedings, websites, results with or without photos will stay free. And of course we are pleased if you send us further on nice quality photos of your successful Afghan Hounds to be published in the respective categories of the Galleries. Three of the Top Dog ads from the old website have been published in the new onstage column on the left. They might serve as samples and help to compensate the shut down of the old website for their owners. As a special offer in connection with the launch of Afghan Hound World, I will publish the first three adverts being sent in until 10th March 2008 without charge (on basis of the onstage package).
Now, I will not keep you any longer away from browsing on Afghan Hound World. It would give me a great pleasure if you still find your favourites and keep the loyalty with Afghan Hound World. There is still some fine tuning and a lot of work to do. So, don’t hesitate to send in your improvement suggestions. Enjoy the new Afghan Hound World …
