In the past year Afghan Hound .net celebrated its 5th anniversary. Everything started in October 2002 with the international Online Pedigree Database containing 2.500 Afghan Hounds, some breed information and a small link collection. We were very proud about the more than 1.000 visits a day in the first days of the websites. In the following years the Online Pedigree Database (now about 15.000 entries) and the Link Archives (462 entries) have been expanded continuously. New rubrics have been added. The News Center became more and more the hub of Afghan Hound .net with about 620 news in 2007. The page impressions increased sixfold to more than 2.3 million in 2007. Apart from these impressing numbers I’m very delighted that Afghan Hound .net increasingly succeeded in depicting a considerable cross section of the worldwide breed activities. The actuality and vitality of the Online Portal largely bases on the contributions of a remarkable number of breed fanciers. I really appreciate this help and would like to thank you all for the active assistance. No need to say, that I would be very pleased, if I could count on your help further on.
